Administrative audit / Investigation

The council executes administrative audit for organs in 7 days during regular session. In case of special agendas, more than 1/3 of members can give written suggestion and it can be investigated by the general meeting vote

For audit and investigation, the council can ask for a field survey, submission of documents, and also ask the mayor or officials related to work in question to attend the council. They will then take an oath as a witness and give testimony as required.

At the time of giving false testimony, that person can be accused, and if a person asked to attend the council fails to appear without good reason, under 3 million won, or refuses to testify or make a statement, under 2 million won fine should be imposed upon him/her.

The head or related officials can report the disposition of the administrative audit at the council or committee meeting, make a statement and respond to inquiries.
